HEALTH CARD COVERS EYE EXAM

Patients younger than 20 years and 65 and older are covered by OHIP for an eye examination once every 12 months.

Patients aged 20 to 64 years with any medical condition can also receive an eye examination covered by OHIP once every 12 months. Conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus, Glaucoma, Cataract, Retinal Disease, Amblyopia, Visual Field Defects, Strabismus, or Optic Pathway disease.
